Canada Becomes the World Best Country
The Land of Maple Leaf, Canada, has become the best country in the world. This is according to the 2021 Best Countries Report.
Canada’s moved from number two in 2020 to take over the position from the incumbent country, Switzerland, which has held the title since 2017.
Using 76 various metrics, the report evaluated 79 nations of the world, taking account of how the countries are perceived, economics, military presence, education and, quality of life.
Other new metrics considered in this year’s report include racial equality, commitment to social justice, adaptability and, commitment to climate change.
Over 17,000 persons from 36 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East were surveyed. According to the report, more than 4,900 people among those surveyed were “business decision-makers,” over 10,000 were “informed elites,” and the rest were considered general public.
The Best Countries Report is a yearly ranking released by the US. News & World Report, BAV Group, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
With the recent ranking, Canada will keep on being a preferred destination for foreign direct investment. Investors are invited to the 2021 FDI Canada Forum, an exclusive event that connects them with investment opportunities in Canada. The virtual event will take place between May 5 – 6, 2021.
